Congratulations 2017 University of Pennsylvania Graduates
PHILADELPHIA, PA: The Wharton School and The School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania hired New Pace Productions in conjunction with Keystone Pictures to "tell the story of graduation ceremonies." The assignment required us to cover the milestone events of graduation and conferment of diplomas for three days of ceremonies. Carefully selected cameras, lenses, angles captured the faces and projected them to three giant video walls. The previous vendor only allowed 4 to 6 seconds of each student on camera and sadly mostly the backs of their heads. JC Costa of New Pace and Darryl Rode of Keystone Pictures crafted coverage and unique split feeds to three video walls, while streaming to Facebook Live and Youtube that got the graduates up to 12 seconds of in your face coverage to the pleasure of guests and University of Penn Events personnel. Using two switchers, one for internal video screens and one for the live social media networks, two directors made the events personal and intimate while including live closed captioning. Four Keystone cameras, including a Steadicam and back of hall camera with a 40 power image stabilized Fujinon lens had all the angles covered. A huge success made possible by and with special thanks to Jay Delp and JC Costa for their passionate and tireless commitment.
